Top junior sprinters from France and Germany will take on Britain’s young guns at Revolution 27 on 16th January.
Lining up for Great Britain will be John Paul, Callum Skinner, Louis Olivia and Kian Emadi along with female sprinters Vicki Williamson and Laura Trott. The French will be sending Kevin Guillot, Julien Palma , Linda Michelini and Krystie Cyprien and the Germans will be represented by Stefan Boetticher, Bernard Esterhuizen, Christina Konsukle and Charlotte Arndt.
Whilst international rivalry will be intense the sprinters will also be racing for crucial points as part of the Revolution championship. A male and a female sprinter will be assigned to each of the eight Revolution teams and will score championship points in the Sprint and Keirin events. A feature GB verses the Rest of the World Team Sprint will also be included but will sit outside the championship.
John Paul will be the one to watch and will be in his element in the sprint racing. After breaking the junior national 200m TT record at the previous Revolution the young Scot will be fighting hard to help bring team Forza back to the top of the championship table.
The sprint competition will also act as a prequel to Revolution on February 27th where the elite stars will take over. Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton will lead the charge in what is set to be an epic season finale as GB takes on the Germans and Dutch in one final test before the World Championships four weeks later.
Tickets are available for both events here on cyclingrevolution.com or by calling 0161 223 2244.
