INTRODUCTION
The UK’s premier track cycling event - attracting over 14,000 dedicated fans every season and now entering it’s fifth year, Revolution has entered the vernacular of the British cycling fraternity.
A family night out designed, since its conception, to deliver high octane fun, from the worlds best cyclists with a strong presence from the UK’s many World, Olympic and Commonwealth Champions including Chris Hoy, Bradley Wiggins, Jason Queally and Rob Hayles.
The only event of it’s type in this country. The only event to offer "Future Stars" the opportunity to race against their senior counterparts. The only event that has ever pulled major crowds back into the sport.
With a bright future and a ground breaking past Revolution has truly lived up to it’s name.
OUR AUDIENCE
Revolution attracts a total ticket-purchasing audience of approximately 3,500 to each event.
A recent sample survey of 250 participants revealed that our audience is both fiercely loyal and surprisingly varied.
We attract a core ‘cycling’ audience from throughout the UK & Ireland of around 2,500, of which 70% are male ABC1s with high disposable income in the 18 to 35 age bracket. They own on average 2 bikes and exercise for at least 5 hours per week. The second largest group within our core audience is that of young ABC1 families from within the Greater Manchester area.
Our remaining ticket-purchasing audience is made up of a ‘floating’ 1,000 who are primarily male ABC1s within the 21 to 50 age bracket from within a 100 kilometre radius of the Velodrome and who are sports fans, but not necessarily cycling fans. 70% of them attend with their friends or partners.
The event also has a track centre audience of 200 made up of sponsors and VIPs. The track centre attracts a variety of business people, sporting stars and local dignitaries and has in the past played host to Jamie Baulch, Matthew Pinsent, James Hickman, Leader of the Council, Chairman of British Cycling, Performance Director of Welsh Cycling and British Cycling and many others.
MEDIA COVERAGE
The event has media partnerships with Cycling Weekly, Manchester Evening News and Channel M TV. This season each event will be broadcast on Channel M in an exclusive 30 minutes highlights programme.
We work extensively with local media, and have worked with Gillette World of Sport on two of the events. We attract local radio and television at the majority of events.
We have an extensive online presence across all major cycling websites, local media sites and within newspaper sites.
Events normally receive coverage within national papers regarding showcase events.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Revolution has always tried to break new ground when it comes to track cycling and has therefore been involved in a variety of bespoke projects with our sponsors, from showcase events such as In-line Skates vs Bike races and extreme cycling displays to product sampling, product launches, team launches and many, many more.
We know that we are the experts when it comes to cycling events, but you are the experts when it comes to your brand. We recognise that one size very rarely fits all and so always work with our sponsors to create a package that fits exactly with their brand objectives and delivers the results they are looking for. These packages can incorporate elements from all of the above opportunities or none of them - we are always looking for new ways to enhance the event and would be very happy to talk through what’s possible with you.
Sponsorship opportunities include:
- Rider sponsorship
- Madison team sponsorship
- Race sponsorship
- Official partner status
- Hospitality sponsorship
Packages and prices will be discussed and tailored to meet your budget and requirements with sponsorship packages starting from as little as £500.
Sponsorship packages can also be combined with hospitality to add to the Revolution experience - click here to read about
