This Saturday sees the opening event of this season’s Revolution Series at Manchester’s National Cycling Centre, with an exciting mix of sprint and endurance racing. Eight teams will fight it out for Championship points in the first of the four event series.

Revolution has attracted huge crowds every season since its inception in 2003 thanks to its world class race action and electric atmosphere. The first event will be no exception, with the highlights of the evening set to be:

  • GB verses France: rising GB star David Daniell faces French World Champion Michael d’Almeida in the Sprint and the Keirin.
  • Stellar line up for the Australian Pursuit: Alex Dowsett (Team Sky), Steven Burke (UK Youth), Jens Mouris (Rapha Condor Sharp) and Leif Lampater (howies) will all be racing in this unique elimination pursuit race.
  • Sean Conway verses Vin Cox - Cycling the Earth pursuit race: Adventure cyclist Sean Conway is attempting to break the world record for a solo cycle around the globe in February. He will be taking on the current record holder Vin Cox in a special pursuit race on their fully laden touring bikes.
